GOD IS ABOUT TO GIVE THIS COUNTRY A 2nd WIND!

I was on a broadcast this week and right near the end, the Spirit of God came over me. When that happens, I know I’m about to get a word from God, a word of knowledge, a prophetic utterance, something…that I have to listen closely to myself.

Some people might get frustrated if it seems like I’m cutting someone off that I’m on a show with, but when that Spirit of God comes on me, I can’t help myself. It’s as if I have a locomotive that is about to come out of my mouth and if I don’t get it out, I will explode! That is what happened during this show.

It wasn’t a long word or anything profound. But it was from God. Out of nowhere I said, “Our country needs a 2nd wind! It doesn’t need to be a big thing. It might be something small, but we will see through it that God’s got this. This country will be getting a 2nd wind!"

And that's exactly what we need.

I know that there have been times in my life where I felt the wind has been knocked out of me. Whether it was relational or a situation within our country, my wind was gone. Life had become more than I could handle in my own might. I was tired and needed God’s help. I would pray and pray, but always knowing that in my weakness, His strength is made perfect. Right then, God’s grace would fill me to overflowing and I would once again be ready for the battle.

THE 2ND WIND OF GOD IS ABOUT TO FLOW TO US AND OUR COUNTRY!

I remember when we lived in New York, we would frequently travel through the Midtown Tunnel. Like most long tunnels, there is a point where you can’t see the light of the opening behind you, nor can you see the light of the opening in front of you. It’s not comforting, especially if it’s your first time driving this way. That middle place is one of faith. It’s a place of vulnerability. It’s a place of trust. That’s where our country is right now!

And in that tunnel, our wind has been knocked out of us. Many are falling by the wayside, too weak to go on. Some are getting physically ill. Many are mentally discouraged and their will to live is gone.

HANG ON!! GOD SAID OUR 2nd WIND IS COMING!!

The best people go through this. And our country is FULL of great people…actually the salt of the Earth!

Even Paul the Apostle went through a time of weariness. In the Book of Acts, Chapter 18, Paul is on his 2nd missionary journey. He traveled from Athens and was on his way to Corinth. And from his writings, it sounded like he was experiencing depression.

1 Corinthians 2:3 – I was with you in weakness and in fear, and in much trembling.

He was hurting for sure. And this wasn’t his first time. He was human after all, and just coming from being beaten and jailed at Philippi, persecuted at Thessalonica, and ridiculed in Athens…he’s facing a new city and a new set of trials. But he did not quit! Paul knew he had God’s presence, protection, and power!

Now let’s jump down to the same book and chapter, but verse 5 (1 Corinthians 2:5)

– That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”

What happened between those two verses??? THE 2nd WIND OF GOD!!

Then he wrote in verse 9, same book, same chapter – But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things that God has prepared for those that love him.

Yes! God hasn’t left. He’s not vacationing. His very nature is to intervene. He IS righteousness. We are almost there! The fact that so many are weary…tells me it’s right here!

Hang on…our help is coming from above. We will see something that will point to God being completely in control…totally in power…and already won!
