Yes. The World is Shifting.

A few months ago, we sensed a major shift about to occur in our lives and in our ministry. One of those shifting moments, was a shock regarding the health of one of our children. And although this wasn’t a life occurrence that we would want for anyone, with the correct perspective, we are hearing directly and sovereignly from God and learning lessons and experiencing a trust and faithfulness that we couldn’t learn any other way.

The other shift was more gradual…more of a peeling away of what was and moving into the next chapter of our ministry. And Dennis and I basically had to do nothing but be submitted to His voice and watch how God Himself shifted ministries, people, and situations in and out of our life. And no matter what we think or feel about this within ourselves, if His fingerprints are on it, then we are obedient…which is far greater than sacrifice.

And now what is emerging, is Reformation Rebels: a group of people who are sold out for Christ, live moment to moment waiting on His voice, and call out what is not truly aligned with the Master.

We believe that leaders across the nation and world will be joining together…not because we are conservative or liberal…not because of any denomination…but because we are His, and we will, at all costs, help forge and reform a body, to once again look like the Book of Acts.

Will this be easy? No.

Will there be persecution? Absolutely.

Will God carve a path in this wilderness for those of us who are heeding His call? You betcha!

Our book, The UnChained Soul is about to drop in just over a month. This will be an “ouch” to many people, ministries, and institutions. And while we have been finishing writing and editing over the last couple of months, the shift was coming at us like a tsunami. Oh…we didn’t know it then. But where we stand today, we realize, there are people that couldn’t go with us…and there are people that we couldn’t move forward without.

We are moving every day, closer and closer, to a true body ministry. What God is calling us all to do is to live for Him within our culture…within our day to day chores and errands…and to create an atmosphere of unconditional love and acceptance, so unique…so profound, that it can only come from God.

My prayer is that soon the titles will be gone…the one-up-man-ship will be a distant memory…and territorial churches will drop their pretense and make their four walls invisible so that true unity can be forged. Selah.
